Knitwear - a material for designers of fashionable clothing Print

The word "knitwear" has occurred from French tricote - "to bind". As a texture is called the order of an arrangement of buttonholes in knitwear. Canvases from knitwear have various framework and match from one or many threads by formation of buttonholes and their mutual texture. Their framework and a production principle are put in a warp of classification of stitched fabrics.

Fibers and methods of knitting of knitwear, can be the most different, therefore and it is enough kinds of knitwear. Even from one kind of a yarn taken in different quantities of threads, braided by different methods, it is possible to receive some different textures of knitted fabrics. Modern technologies of production of clothing from knitwear allow to find optimum variants and knitting methods.

For example, for production of a comfortable female knitted dress use a yarn in which combine natural and synthetics. Synthetic threads (polyamide, elastane, lycra, etc.) provide to clothing elasticity, ease and comfort. After all a free wool the expensive pleasure, besides knitted fabrics from wool while in service give the big contraction. Nevertheless, natural woollen fibers provide hygienicity to synthetics.

The knitwear framework allows a body to breathe easily. It all gives  to knitwear clothing a property  of "the second skin": dresses, sweaters, jackets, skirtssun-dresses it is convenient to wear, they keep bloom and the form for a long time, they easily to tend. Among knitwear clothing of the outer type pullovers and jackets of different density of knitting are especially popular.

As a part of raw materials which are used for production of fashionable knitwear clothing viscose fiber is frequently used. This fiber is made from cellulose of wood and green plants. In the pure state viscose is the soft fabric which is perfectly carrying out water and air. It is elastic enough, however it badly holds the form. Therefore in production of knitted clothing viscose with addition of nylon and elastane reminding cool and bright silk is more preferable.

Combinations of artificial fibers of viscose, wool and silk in different proportions create various kinds of knitwear and a weave construction. Thus knitted fabrics keep properties of natural fibres. They perfectly hold the form. Outwardly knitted knitted pullovers, dresses, skirts, jackets, tuniscs can and not differ by the form from the articles manufactured from natural kinds of a yarn if elastic threads (more often lycra) by production have been swathed by specially prepared natural fibre. For example, the light female pullover or a jacket from wool with polyamide warms as well, as well as a large knitted sweater-jumper. After all for production of a yarn for such articles wool carefully cleared of a long villus from the yearling merino-males, wound on a thin thread-basis of elastic polyamide is taken. Therefore such article from knitwear beautifully fits a figure, is not stretched in the course of carrying, does not fade, does not burn out, does not collect a static charge and does not cause an allergy, and also is not coated pilling, even after repeated washings. It is no wonder that this material is preferred by the majority of designers of clothing.
